Matsue campus students:

Presently, Shimane University is asking students to as a rule avoid entering campus and to study from home after May 7, in order to prevent further spread of COVID-19. About one month has passed since the classes for the first semester started, and some students may be taking classes with anxiety concerning their internet environment at their home.
We will allow partial access to a part of Matsue Campus’ facilities, more specifically some classrooms of the General Education Buildings No.1 and 2. to such students.
Previous applications were due on April 30 and May 13. We will accept additional applications from June 19 (Fri.). Those who applied and were declined at a previous time are also eligible to apply.
However, the number of seats and computers we can offer is limited in order to avoid making these rooms crowded, closed and close-contact settings. Your kind understanding is greatly appreciated that we will not be able to grant permission to all applicants.
Also, refrain from applying for this permission if you are able to take online classes at home. This is to secure facilities for those who are truly in need of them. Note that your permission may be declined if you provide false or misleading information in your application.
